Guest guest
Low growth and high TSH would suggest that he may be hypothyroid. Does he have any nodules in his thyroid gland? If so, that would be ammunition for treatment. Most docs will want to wait and retest, but I would push for treatment. His thyroid hormone is probably on its way down. Knock on doors until you find a doc willing to treat. I don't know anyone locally to recommend. >> Thanks Jan. He is in the 5th percentile and has been that or lower for the> last two years. Prior to that he was around the 50th.> > > > _____ > > From: Texas_Thyroid_Groups > [mailto:Texas_Thyroid_Groups ] On Behalf Of texasthyroid> Sent: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 3:46 PM> To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups > Subject: Re: son's bloodwork> > > > > > With a TSH that high, I would suspect that his Free T3 and Free T4 may be> too low for him, even though they are both just a hair below mid-range.> > Dry skin can also be a symptom of low iron.
