Guest guest
I just ran across this while attempting to organize. It is by Ralph Waldo Emerson: " Be not the slave of your own past- plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self respect, with new power, with an advanced experience, that shall explain and overlook the old. " WOW! Isn't that a great way to look at all of the healing that we as KO's are doing? I love this! It was in a recent Engelbreight magazine. It is with a drawing of a girl getting ready to jump off of a diving board. I think I will have to frame this and put it next to my computer. I love to swim- that is actually one of the wonderful things that Nada did for me. She is terrified of the water, but she made sure that her kids did not share that fear. I was like a fish as a kid- it was also one of the places I could escape Nada-she couldn't follow me into a pool! LOL. Then as a teen we moved to the rainy PNW, so I no longer had a community pool or swimming hole to escape to. Waterwas replaced by the barn and the horses. Now as a grown up, I was very fortunate to buy a small house that had a pool. That is my favorite place to be- in the water. Have a nice fall week, my fellow KO'ers! Swim deep and far... Di.
