Guest guest
Hi everyone !!! Sorry for waiting so long to update you about my EN. Briefly, I"m the Afro Canadian RN who suggested my GP to try me on antibiotics for 10 days as I noticed the itchy spots were showing at odd areas apart the shins. Indeed, within 3 weeks there was significant improvement from the itching and the skin damage(from the guilty "pleasure" of scratching). No new spots have shown up, or if a tiny one does, it's quickly controlled by my usual ways of dealing with EN now. I still use plain Petroleum jelly to keep affected areas from dryness, avoid scratching by keeping my nails short and P.jelly jars handy around the house and at work, and thanks to I take the habit of wearing tensor bandage around my shins(this is a compromise for men who would find it awkward to wear stockings, even under their pants). The tensor seems to help me a lot with the occasional swelling after a long shift walking around the unit. I do limit my intake of nut and chocolate products, as I sense them as triggers. Basically now, I just need patience to let time clear up a bit the dark skin discoloration left behind by previous flare ups. Meantime, SHIN UP !!! Bye Lèche-vitrine ou lèche-écran ? Yahoo!
