Dear ,

Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire.

I have added the information to our " Member Medical History " Files on

the Group site and posted it below.

You now have Full EN Group privileges.

Remember that you can go to the EN Group site whenever you like by

going to :

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/

and logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password.

You do NOT have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here.

I must say that dr's in the UK take EN more seriously than in the US.

I have heard of quite a few EN patients going to hospital in the UK

for it, but in the USA they usually send you home unless you are at

" death's door " . Shabby show America!

Love,

*********

1. Your name and age:

Pedley, 31. My husband is the EN sufferer. He is 40.

2. Your location

Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK

3. Your email address:

bendilina@...

4. Your Yahoo ID

Bendilina

5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have

EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.

Steve first had EN in Feb this year. He was prescribed penicillin and

told that people only get this once in their life (!) and that would

be that. Then in april he found the lumps in the same place and

returned but a lot worse! He was signed off work and ended up in

hospital for a week on IV antibiotics. When he came out he was on

sticks to aid his walking.

He's been off work for six weeks. Todays his first day back. His legs

still aren't better. Both legs still have red lumps - all meeting

together, you can't differentiate between each nodule.

We believe they have started off with a throat infection. Both time's

he went to bed with lemsips thinking he was coming down with flu -

both times woke up with both his legs swollen and tender.

He's back at the doctors tomorrow and we are concerned he'll be signed

off again and how he employers will react.

We have joined so that we can find out as much as we can - hoping that

will help us make informed decisions about his treatment and care.

6. List any other health conditions.

Steve was diagnosed with Herpes in Oct 03. That was the only episode

of it he's ever had. But with it effecting the immune system, surely

there is a possible link?

7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their

effectiveness:

Steve's been on penicillin, ibuprofen, dihydrochloride, prednisone

and paracetamol. He has also tried homeopathy, but as this was taken

during a flare up it did not work and the EN came back worse than

before. Going to try again when his legs are better.

8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG?

February 2005

9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG?

This last flare up has been just over 6 weeks long. The first was two

weeks.

10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect?

Yes

11.Do you agree to post NO advertisements for any products or services?

I agree

12. How did you find this Group? (Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves Search,
