Guest guest
Here's what works if you have somewhat verbal child: I tell my son the social rule: " It's OK to pick your nose when you're by yourself, but not in front of other people. " When he has infractions, I prompt him, " When is it OK to pick your nose? " (he answers the mantra); then I ask, " Are you by yourself? " ; (he says no); I say, " So what do you need stop doing? " (he says stop picking my nose). This dialogue eventually gets shortened into briefer prompts (E.g., simply " Are you by yourself? " or " What do you need to stop doing? " ) I find that my son really needs bright line social rules, and this really helps. [ ] Digest Number 1232
Guest guest
And I have in both nostrils - a real annoyance. The rheumy doesn't acknowledge it as P - she says P doesn't usually come on mucous membrane. But the ENT seemed to think otherwise and I suspect the derm will also agree when I see her again. I'm convinced anyway. Mine has been going on since about when I started the MTX, but I think that's just a coincidence. I haven't had any mouth ulcers, which are common with MTX. Rheumy admitted she'd never seen nose sores from MTX. I was getting spontaneous nose bleeds 3-4 times a day - even waking me up at night. They would stop within a minute, but very annoying. The ENT told me to go back to using my Nasalcrom (which I've taken for years for nasal allergies, but had quit because I'm taking so much other med) and also to use the TAC ointment on the nose sores. That was about 3 weeks ago. The sores are still there, but better and not causing nosebleeds anymore. You might ask your derm or rheumy about putting a little triamcinolone (TAC) on it. best, sherry z > > I have psoriasis in one nostril . I didnt realise it was and thought it was a sore that wouldnt heal > for a long time then it clicked thats what it was...its very annoying and bleeds from time to time. > I have to watch my iron levels. > The area I had the inflammation was where the cartilage on the end of the nose joins with the bone. > Dianne
Guest guest
I have been really relieved to see this link on this topic as I have kept to myself, but yeah driven myself quite insane about issues I have had with my nose, that I know I never suffered pre-PA diagnosed. I have never brought up to my doctor, since in my list of other concerns as of late in never made the list. I have been suffer some off an on nose bleeds. I have it on my list now to discuss since there seems to be a growth or thickened skin that is appearing to get worse or more noticeable to me. It is painful but again I figured it was just me.
