Guest guest
Dear Friends, Since noon I have been 24hr oxycontin free in order to see what I truely feel. I can say the pain off RSD is not especially bad today, I took one percocet today around 2 o'clock. I do feel a little crummy, I had a hard time getting to sleep and my kids playing video games till 3 or 4 woke me. I was on oxycontin 2 years and dragged myself dopely through chores like making dinner. Truthfully right now I feel less motivated to making dinner and if I didn't have 3 kids to take care would likely stay in bed. But I am glad I made this decision. Respect to Kimmer some of those anti depressent like Paxil withdrawl can tear you a new imagination, but this is not too bad. Al
Guest guest
Al, I'm glad to hear you're doing good. I'm glad you have percocet (?) to back you up. Take care and let us know. Kimmer
Guest guest
I'm trying the same with MS Contin. I've gone from 60mgx3 to 15mg in a week and a half. The pain, surprisingly, is better with less. I've been told online that morphine can increase stiffness and pain in arthritic conditions, something I had not read before I started it. I'm edgy again...the first drop caused an edginess that lasted a couple of days and that is back. I'm going for it though and hope not to return to this form of pain relief. I don't like the idea of such strong narcotics and then to find after taking them for six months that they actually increase my discomfort.....irritating. I'll get through it, I'm sure you will too. Good luck. Barbara
Guest guest
Hi all: What am I missing here, please? I am only on 40mg/day of Oxycontin plus occasional Percocet for breakthrough pain and wouldn't dream of cutting dosage. Perhaps it is low side effects, in addition it is definitely due to remembering pain when only on Percocet or Vicodin. Plus difficulty of getting meds when I needed them! Of course, my pain has gotten progressively worse (involuntary movements leading to repetitive motion injury), this would bias my feelings. To each his own, and our bodies do change.
