Guest guest
On working out during chemo - I agree that you really need to talk to your doc about it. It will vary greatly by the type of regimine that they have you on. But make sure he knows it's an important part of your life so that he doesn't summarily dismiss it - most doctors will. My doc was great and worked with me on it. I'll tell your from personal experience that I was not able to do much during my first round of chemo. I did a little cardio and no weights. I just didn't have the energy. However, I was able to keep things up on my second round of chemo and when I did radiation. You'll have to be flexible about it though as you likely won't be able to do anything in the 24 hours immediately following treatment. Also, your lifting will likely need to be modified as your body will not be able to handle the stress of heavy lifting. I did more full body, circuit type training during that time period. Good luck and keep us posted! Janeen > > Just out of curiosity... can I continue to workout if I have to go for > chemotherapy? Just curious...
