Then I realized that there is no single " best " exercise for each muscle group. To work a muscle group thoroughly requires using varying angles which can only be achieved by applying a variety of exercises for that muscle group. No single exercise for a given muscle group can do that. My 2 cents worth.
Guest guest
The question that needs to be answered firt is " best exercise " to do WHAT? Muscles all have functions and qualities that are very specific to what is being asked of them. So, before one can select fav. exercises, one has to decide what outcome they are looking for. > > We all know with bullworker we can exercise each muscle group > using more than one exercise. Guest guest
My intention is to keep the workout as short as possible. Many of us skip exercises due to time crunch. Some guys say that there is no scientific basis for believing that more muscle fibers are recruited by training a muscle group from different angles. Even if we go by angle theory I would say exercise 22 has more impact on pectorals than 9 or 6. Back muscles exercises 12,13,14 in daily fitness training of x5 manual affects the same muscle group and isometrics research suggest exercising each muscle group only once daily for optimum result. If we know the best exercise for each muscle group we can stick to that and avoid exercising same muscle group more than once a day and can also save some time. Guest guest
I have not seen any credible research that has refuted the range specific nature of isometrics. Hence, I personally pick one exercise for each major muscle group and work it through three distinct angles. I do this 5 times a week. I end up doing 3 contractions for about nine different exercises or 27 total contractions. 7 times 24 is not much exercise for the results I see. > > > > We all know with bullworker we can exercise each muscle group > > using more than one exercise. Guest guest
Isometric research suggest to increase maximal strength, the optimal isometric program should consist of daily training and it suggest more than once a day training doesn’t provide superior result like once a day training. So I want to exercise each muscle group only once daily. In Bullworker manual you can see more than one exercise affecting the same muscle group. I am asking to vote for best exercise for each muscle group so we can stick to those to make sure we exercise only once every muscle group. Guest guest
I don't believe that you are interpreting the vast body of isometric research correctly. There is no study that I know of that suggests that one can maximize the strength of a muscle OVER ITS FULL RANGE OF MOTION by using one contraction per day. That is NOT what the original Hettinger research tested nor said. It IS what some folks came away with. I am NOT suggesting one needs to perform many contractions per muscule group, simply several to contract the muscle over different angles of its range. As far as which exercises is " best " there is no one exercise that is best in my opinion. Since exercises tend to diminish in their effectiveness over time, one must change exercises anyway to continue to gain strength over time. > > > > We all know with bullworker we can exercise each muscle > group > > using more than one exercise. Use only one exercise per muscle group for awhile. Then switch to a different exercise per muscle group. If you notice any soreness after the switch then you haven't been working the muscles as thoroughly as you could have been.
Guest guest
Well, not really. I can be exercising my biceps muscles to exhaustion and then switch to another biceps exercise. I will likely then get some new residual muscle soreness. This tells me NOTHING about how well I was doing my previous exercise. What it DOES tell me is that the biceps muscle is composed of a large number of muscle fibers. When I change the movement in the exercise, I am then making some muscle fibers work that were not being worked previously. NO EXERCISE hits EVERY muscle fiber in a particular muscle group. ly, this particular thread is full of misinformation. There IS NO SINGLE BEST exercise for a muscle group. If you think so, lets see your research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > > > We all know with bullworker we can exercise each muscle group > > using more than one exercise. Guest guest
I think the best exercise with the Bullworker, what ever model is the first one you see when you purchase it,#8 on the Bullworker 5 chart. This is the basic chest compress, the first one you see as any old Bullworker nut saw Gert Kolbel doing this in a seventies add.By adjusting the angle of your wrists, there are about 10 different angles that can pump up different muscles that the charts don't show. You have to be creative. The Bullworker might not make you look like Arnold, but he has some not working out issues lately, but it will ,if you go for it ,put you in the catagory of Bruce Lee,Stan Brock, that nut that wrestled Anacondas with Marlin Perkins on Mutual Omaha's Wild Kingdom with bare feet, and Gert K who is 73 and has sent into the club and is looking puff...as he said which I hope is true.I think the Bullworker is great for the upper body.I have seen weight lifters, power, not loose weight gracefully.Keep lean and mean....Dawk! rrbelloff wrote: > Well, not really.
