Guest guest
My problem with Morphine is that I need to be as functional as possible as I have a younger husband that does depend on me for many things, for one he is a very brilliant Aerospace Engineer and is highly involved with many top secret things, he has to travel and I don't know if you have ever been around a genius (168 i.q.) but for the most part at least this one has a one track mind which makes him essentially useless. He says he makes the money and I am the " people person " wow what a shaded compliment. Any way I have to look for a rental house, and here in CA. and especially where we live and around are a bit expensive it will basically run over 2200.00 to get what we need but I have now convinced him now and I think that he really hates after 10+ years in this House (and we got glowing references) it is his house. So the pressure on me is horrendous. Now here comes the problem, I have had 3 Lumbar fusion's and I would have lost the feeling on the side that was losing feeling and use. But what then occurred another little (not little by any means) Performas Syndrome and damaged nerves and constant pain. I have a spinal cord stimulator which by today I have had it on for 4 days and the on the right side and the Methadone is also a mind fogger. I am proud that I have stabilized, but if I life anything in the least heavy, it is a real bummer. Also I need a surgery to replace the joint on the left hand (thumb) as it is very painful also, shooting pains etc....I am 63 but I am told that on the outside I look about 40, so they say...it amazes me. Anyway I have had to postphone that surgery and Unfortunately I am left hande dominant. So I will get another but the whole problem. shot and this will at least take the swelling down enough be able to type etc. Wish me luck and I in turn will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
Hello Rhee, Sorry to hear about your awful sciatica pain. I also suffer from it and to about that degree. It is much more worse in the mornings when I wake up and just standing up to walk to the toilet makes me holler sometimes. I try to hold it in, but the pain is so unbearable sometimes it is just not possible. What helped me with my Sciatica more than anything was my doctor increasing my pain meds. Does your physician know about your increase in pain? If not, maybe you should contact him or her tomorrow. I also take Xanax and that seems to help with it some, but more than anything it is the increase in pain meds. I am a firm believer in the power of Epsom salts baths, but those work mostly when I am having an increase in joint pain from the weather affecting my Lupus. I know that there are some exercises for Sciatica, but I am not able to do them as they make me hurt more. You might also ask your physician about going to physical therapy if you are able to tolerate it. Also, you might try laying on a heating pad. I live on mine. LOL. I hope this helps and I pray that your pain lets up. Best of regards, Authors Webpage: http://www.AuthorsDen.com/Huber Huber@...
