Guest guest
Hey Kassiane, Glad to hear things are going better for you, hadn't seen you post for a bit so I got a little nervous. I'm in New Hampshire, too far from Michigan but if you're ever out this way, you've got a place to stay. So how are things at your Dad's? Do the two of you have a good relationship? Not trying to be nosey, just wondering. Well, gotta finish cooking dinner, here's hoping things are great with you and good luck!! Guest guest
I've been busy so I havent had much to say, Ive been staying at a friend/distant relative's house this week (small world, you make friends with someone, make each other honorary siblings, then find out you are 7th cousins...) so Ive been even less apt to post than usual. Things at Dad's are good...my dad is quite Aspie and as a result things here are autie friendly. My dad and stepmom also brought up my brother (same age as me) who has severe learning disabilities and ADHD, so they have had practice in teaching independance skills (like checking accounts for example) slowly and with help. They are also much more willing to work with my dietary needs and wants than my mother was. Its been a good situation overall. Guest guest
I'm fine with a couch. I need to see if I can get a deadline extension for registration, and then I will know if I am going. Thanks so much, Pennie. Kassiane < Re: The michegan Ladies Kassiane, you are welcome in my house. Guest guest
I did, and I dont mind small at all. I stayed a week at my friend's 3 room apartment, and THAT was fine. I really hope I can get the deadline extension so I can come to J.O.'s! Kassiane < Re: The michegan Ladies Kassiane, did you get my last post about you staying with us? Guest guest
Great news-I got the extension. Guest guest
Kassi proof directions are kinda tough =) What I usually do is mapquest, then send that to a local and have them embellish and change what needs to be changed. I have really severe NVLD in addition to autism, so directionality is REALLY hard for me (I have " right " and " left " stickers on my dashboard!!) Guest guest
Yep!! Looking up driving directions and plane ticket costs as soon as I get home from the retreat thingy Im going on this weekend (so Tuesday I'm looking). I've not been this flappy in a good way in a LOOONGGG time...I got my Team Illinois leotard on order, get 4 free hours of tumbling NOT for competition, AND I get to stay in a house with an autie girl, woowoo! Guest guest
So am I to assume that your parents are letting you stay here? YEA YEA YEA!!! I only hope that you will do some tumbling and stuff with Abby. Before I forget to ask, are you on any special diets? If you are you have to let me know what you eat before you come. Abby is not GF/CF, I only restrict her dairy and limit her carbs. Pennie Abby's Mom
