Guest guest
Vicki,Did you go to a Naturopathic Doctor? I am going to see one in December when I am there for Christmas. I get a lot of weird things that go on with my body like decreased immune function, digestive issues (bloating, stomach pain, reflux), forgetfulness, depression, just to name a few. I have had six children, am 38 years old and I think that I am starting peri-menopause. I know that I am estrogen dominant by my symptoms and I believe that it caused me to become hypothyroid and I am sure that I have fatigued adrenals. I do not know your age, but if our hormones are out of whack it can really mess with our bodies. I am going to see a more integrative doctor tomorrow morning for these things and will see the N.D. next month. -Amy What exactly is your ferritin number? Iron? As with thyroid and cortisol, " normal " is not necessarily optimal.Normal " is just a setting on the clothes dryer. . . . .Do you have antibodies? If you would like to post your labs together with the reference ranges and the exact name of each test, we may be able to offer some suggestions. There is no dose of thyroid that is optimal for everyone. I have known folks who needed as much as 14 grains! I have a neighbor who is fully medicated on just 30 mg. If you have Hashimoto's, be aware that is comes with its own rollercoaster. >> Jan, I noticed in your last post that you take 306 mg, well i am at 244 mg (3.75 grains @ 65 mg/grain, as in NT). It keeps going up and not holding. I asked for adrenal testing, so they drew one a.m. blood cortisol (twice) and both were " normal. " I am more awake at night, sleepy during the day. Ferritin is " normal. " Iron is " normal " , Lyme is " negative. " RA is " negative " (when my toes are turning sideways and my hand knuckles are raising, but I don't have the RA factor in my blood, so...). I'm not healing properly, yet immune sys pounces on chems in food and meds with rashes and awful allergic headaches, so that is a weird conflict!!!! > > He suggested COQ10, probiotics, after amphetamines and several painkillers (i have fibro/CFS too + myofascial), didn't work. Said he doesn't know what to do.> > No girl lunches or club meetings, no grocery store, no church, I am homebound. > > I was thinking of tests he has not done, like parasites, toxins, metals.....but I read on a Dr. website (forgot name) where he finally saw parasites wiggling on a slide, sent it to the usual 2 labs for type, so he could treat properly, came back " negative for parasites " , couldn't believe it! so I don't know what lab to ask for if he tests for parasites; obviously LC and Q can't do them or Lyme correctly (they test for European, not American tick/Lyme). Hair test is for toxins? > > Any suggestions for me to ask the doctor, or tests or labs to suggest to him? I can't do a doctor-ectomy!
