There is no transferring of prescriptions between American and Canadian pharmacies. You need a new script.

My doctor said that she is not legally able to write me a prescription knowing

it will be filled in Canada. Is she misinformed?

She is misinformed. She only needs to write for "thyroid". Where you fill it is your own business.

You can actually send your script for "Armour Thyroid" to Universal Drugstore or to ERFA and they will fill it without contacting the doctor. The milligram amounts have to match up, however. ERFA comes in 30, 60 or 125 mg sizes. The two grain Armour is 120 mg. You can call other Canadian pharmacies to see what their policy is on filling Armour scripts. Be aware that some Canadian pharmacies actually have Armour.

Thanks for your quick reply.

My Canadian doctor wants proof that it is legal so she doesn't get into any

trouble.

I probably should have done an internet search b4 posting.

A quick search found that it is technically not legal:

If anyone has found a different legal opinion, let me know.

My ND is a fan of Naturethroid and would switch me to that if Armour

supply/formulation gets wonky.

I'll search the archives to see what folks have to say about Naturethroid vs.

Efra.
