Guest guest
Thanks pennie............i am gonna have a lot on now for the rest of the year I can see. Trying to sell this house, and they tell me it isn’t the greatest time to be selling......but I guess you tend to do whatever you can for your kids......and I know it is important to get this school thing sorted out. Sure Leah [almost 11] has another year of primary school before high school, but you can’t leave things till the last minute, so it is best to sell now, and hope they get our land ready to build on in the next 3 months.....hoping weather holds now, expecting to start the road in July!. If this house sells quick, I have already decided we shall try and rent something here for now, so not to disrupt this year of school for the girls...no use moving out there to rent when it is going to be 6 months before we can build.....got to think of Hannah with this......as this is going to be a terribly big time for her. We took her out the other day to show her the new school.......she just walked around in her usual quiet self looking......not real interested, so in another 2 weeks, after Marks exams...we shall take them all out for a look, now we know we have the land we can get them all excited now!!!! Better stop blabbing on......heehee, bye, cherylS Re: back from break Cheryl, glad you had a nice time, Vacations are always nice. Not much really new, just a bunch of the same ol' thing. LOL. Nice to have ya back! Pennie Abby's Mom
Guest guest
Cheryl I didnt know that you were planning on moving! Finally making that big to Michigan eh? LOL Hope all goes well with it. You certainly have alot going on. Glad the kids are well. You will need another vacation after all of that! Abby is doing well-other then a sinus infection. She only has 2 more days left of PPI. She will be in a new program next year. I think she will be fine, I am the one with the seperation issues. LOL. Her PPI end of the year picnic is Wed. I guess I better decide what I should make. Have a good one! Pennie Abby's Mom
Guest guest
Really? How does one go from a place like Michigan to a wonderful place like Australia? LOL. Are you far from the Australia Zoo? Not a big Steve Irwin fan but the zoo looks cool. Pennie Abby's Mom
Guest guest
Very cool Sondra, Abby is a Steve Irwin fan. She loves animals (as long as they dont come near her-LOL). Today was Abby's last day of PPI, she will be in a new program with a new teacher next year. I cant believe that 4 years have gone by already. She is getting so big. I can honestly say that this has been her year of progress and growth. Her speech and eye contact are wonderful, I am so proud of her. We have worked so hard these last 4 years to get her where she is. Ellen has been so wonderful in helping us get on the right track. 4 years ago she took a little girl who had no words, no eye contact, no social skills, all we had was bottled up frustrations and tantrums. Abby scored 0% on her speech in her first IEP, she scored 94% on her last one. I feel as though Ellen has given me back my daughter. 4 years ago I thought that I would never hear my Abby say " I love you mama. " I hear it everyday now. I hear her sing, I hear her say wonderful words, I hear her say that she is happy or sad. It is so nice to have nice people in this world that devote themselves to helping others. Ellen does it because she loves the kids, not because there is something to gain from it. She always says " I wish I could do more " . I only wish that I could repay her for all that she does. Abby and Ellen are such good friends, I hope they always stay close. Pennie Abby's Mom

Guest guest
I would of believed you too Cheryl if I wasnt blessed and got to visit Australia in march 97. LOLOLOL. We have our share of weird or shall I say different people. It seems like each state you go into has something dorky. And we have 50 of them all different lOlolol I did remember Aussies were all for the environment and when people killed a snake over there they hid it right away!!!! Big time trouble for doing so. I also remember one of our planes messing up and we asked permission to dump the jet fuel but Aussies refused as they do not like pollution over there!!!! What really caught my eye was the fast electric trains. Looked different to what I was used to seeing. Guest guest
Only dopes think all Aussies are like Steve Irwin. I happen to LOVE him. He is so entertaining...a million laughs. I love how he says every horribly poisonous snake is a " beautiful girl " ! The guy is a charming Aussie caricature, sort of a colorful goofy nutcase. Nobody could possibly take the guy seriously....it's just pure entertainment. And underneath it all he really does care about all God's creatures, even the hideous and poisonous ones, and that's really what's important. Guest guest
I was in a hotel in Rockhampton Australia. It was weird as I know nothing about the metric system and everything there is metric. We went to fill up on gas and thought oh how cheap but then realized its per liter then ugh how expensive. People were very friendly more then I was used too. The beef tasted like real beef instead of the soy burger type stuff here LOL. I think you will love living on a farm or ranch. I live out now on 35 acreas and not sure how that measures to hectares. Its nice because the kids dont get into trouble like we did in apartments and on military installations. I remember kicking the walls at night over and over and over and the people next to us were so nasty about it like we were doing it. I remember screaming like I was killing her and some people thought I was. ONly problems is Colorado has no services for disabilities. Still waiting for SSI to approve or disapprove ect ect. I have to finish all the legal separation paperwork which is another joke of itself. I think we would of been better off to stay in New Jersey but live on a small acreage place as central NJ was rural.
