DMSA Challenge Test - diapers smelling like chelation agent given orally

I know this might sound stupid - but we're doing the DMSA challenge

test to my son - and the oral capsuls are VERY strong smelling when I

mix them up to give to him. And I've noticed that his diapers smell

horribly like the capsules - is this just the medicine going through

him or an inclination that the chelators is pulling metals out?

Any advice?
