Guest guest
anne, I've got some eye surgery coming up and once that's out of the way, I'm going to go back to being with homebound seniors again. Either as a job or as a volunteer. I'd also like to find a Gin Runny or Pinochle club to join, gotta start if I want to achieve anything and I've been depressed. Next week, I go back to family doc and will change anti depressents again. I know staying in contributes to the depression, it's mainly a waiting game for now....Sharon in NW Washington Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but about how to dance in the rain.anne wrote: Oh boy can I relate to this one Sharon! Guest guest
I LOVE Gin Rummy, though my son hates it when I win! Hehehe And Euchre and UNO too. Gosh, I wonder if there's a club in town that plays them all?? You're so right about depression honey. It becomes so comfortable hiding away at home doesn't it? It is darned hard to almost force yourself out the door somedays especially when we know it's not healthy to stay away from the world. I think you're doing all the right things, in speaking to your doctor and making enquiries about Games Clubs. It's the little things we do that slowly grow into something we're comfortable participating in. Do you have a surgery date scheduled yet? Guest guest
No surgery date yet. My eye doc has written a report and forrwarded it to the surgery people and they will then contact me. It's just a lensectomy, for cataracts and will help my vision, I'm told. I play lots of games on Pogo, but would rather play in person. I've been checking into the county senior center and after the surgery, will go there and see what can be found. Thanks for the support, anne. I'm also scheduled for shots in my spine for pain. Lots of things going on, so life WILL get better for me, I'm just low right now. Sharon in NW Washington Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but about how to dance in the rain.
