It is interesting that we've had several members tell us about mono as

their EN trigger recently. Perhaps mono is more infectious in the

Spring, the same as strep, another EN trigger. Welcome to the Group!

Burling's Case History

5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have

EN or PG, please explain why

you wish to join this group. I currently have joint pain in the

wrist, ankles and knees. I occasionally get

an all over muscle achiness. I have the red nodules on my shins and

the backs of my legs. I have

experienced a great amount of fatique. I did for several weeks have

swollen feet and ankles while they are

still sore most of the swelling is gone. I have good days when I

feel little pain and then days when I am

very fatiqued and sore.

I am not able to handle everyday life stresses very well (emotional

and feel depressed and lonely at times).

6. List any other health conditions. I have recently been diagnoised

with having had epstein barr virus.

my HDLs are low at 33.

7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their

effectiveness: I have been taking motrin

and advil for the pain and swelling. It does take away the pain for a

couple of hours but then it is back

again.

8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? about two months ago.
