Welcome, marvindacat! Being in therapy AND being part of this group

are probably the two best things you can do for yourself. I was in

therapy for many years before learning about BPD and before joining

this group. My healing has gone faster since I have been part of

ModOasis.

Take care,

Sylvia

Have you been given a prescription for thyroid meds yet?

Welcome to the group!

Welcome ,

I’m saying a prayer that the final

pathology comes out all clear.

I’m in the Dallas area also.

Hello all!

I'm so happy to have found all of you. I too have been through the " TSH " is in

the normal range by doctors - with classic hypo symptoms & thyroid issues in the

family - and no further testing.

I am happy to report that I have an appt with Dr. Christensen this week. I was

on the verge of going to Hotze but did a little research and found her, right

here in the DFW area.

I'll let you know how it goes!

There is a write-up on Dr. Christensen in the Database. I will update it to

indicate that she is again seeing patients. A year ago, she had to close her

practice due to illness from mold exposure, so I'm glad to hear she is back in

business (she had only been doing phone consults for the past year).

Please do let us know how it goes for you. I had a great experience, BUT I was

already quite stable when I went to her - I really was just looking for a good

GYN and thought it would be a bonus that she was also knowledgable about

bio-identical hormones, etc. And, she understands the relationship of gluten

intolerance/celiac and thyroid issues.

I think there is someone else in the group that also has seen her that had

somewhat less favorable results. So, as always, YMMV. The good news is that she

will Rx Armour and she takes Armour herself. I'd actually be very curious to

find out what she did to workaround the Armour shortage.

Be well,

B.

Welcome and good luck! I saw Dr. Christensen and didn't have a good experience, but that could have been related to her not feeling well or my case being complicated. She was mostly interested in my TSH and told me that if my TSH was going too far down that was my body saying it didn't need/want any additional hormones and that throwing more T3 at it wasn't going to help. So be prepared to make your case in case she takes that approach with you.Grace
