Wonderful gift from daughter

Yesterday I received two large boxes via UPS. When I opened the

boxes they contained a set of dishes from oldest daughter. Such

wonderful colors, wonderful set. I am beside myself with

appreciation and joy. Wonderful, wonderful!!!!!

Now I will be enjoying the project of packing away the old dishes and

putting new set into the cabinets.

This is all made even more sweet because nada has given china and

crystal to my brothers. One year she brought me a set of dishes from

Target; she was so please with herself. The glasses still had price

tags on them. I gave all to a family whose home had burned. I felt

positive about passing them on to another family. If I had kept the

dishes, they would have been a resentment in my home, and I deserve

How very nice for you - a lovely gift lovingly sent to you. And your

way of dealing with nada's 'gift' is great. You were able to take

something that was giving you bad feelings and turn it into a

blessing for someone else.

Too cool about your dishes! Beautiful, wonderful is right! We've

started from scratch here in the way of family things handed down.

I've destroyed all the crap nada gave me while she saved the good

stuff for others. I should have been as thoughtful as you and donated

the stuff. I just couldn't get over the feel that they were somehow

tainted.
