Guest guest
My daughter was admitted to our local hospital late last night with what we thought was mild pneumonia brought on by a bought with the flu. She'd been sick since Tuesday and a trip to the ER Wednesday produced the mild pneumonia diagnosis. Well, her breathing got worse then downright bad yesterday, and that's when I took her back. They were a bit stumped for a while but after a bunch of tests today, they now say the pneumonia stirred up latent asthma and caused a major attack. So, my dd has been officially diagnosed with asthma. The meds and breathing treatments are starting to help. She's came from not moving much air to actually wheezing today as the meds take hold and loosen the junk clogging her lungs. Her oxygen levels are improving as well. She actually took the diagnosis pretty well. She was glad to know what's wrong with her. I'll update as we know more. Please pray for us. Guest guest
I am sending love and prayers as I type. Hopefully she won't have continuous problems. It's not so bad if it is connected with the pneumonia. Big Hugs! Guest guest
I sure hope your daughter feels better soon...and that her asthma will not become too much of an obstacle in life. Ann
Guest guest
Thanks for all the prayers and love. My daughter is doing some better and is home from the hospital. She's still having some issues with her breathing but she's coming along. Unfortunately, she now has asthma, period. She's been smoke free since Thursday. I asked her earlier if she'd be interested in joining us in the group and she said not right now. She needs time to accept this and she needs continued prayers and good thoughts. Thanks and love to you all,To: asthma Sent: Sat, October 10, 2009 9:28:03 PMSubject: Re: My daughter I am sending love and prayers as I type. Hopefully she won't have continuous problems.
