Guest guest
Sorry you had a rough time, Sharon. Keep venting!! We’ll listen!! Dorothy From: Hepatitis_C_Central [mailto:Hepatitis_C_Central ] On Behalf Of sharon.mccarty Sent: Sunday, March 02, 2008 11:48 AM To: Hepatitis_C_Central Subject: Shot #1 Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know that I did my first short, on the second round of treatment, Friday night. It was harder than I remembered. I woke up about 3 hours later aching all over and running a fever of 103. I know that the first shot is one of the hardest and this one really knocked me out. I spent all day yesterday in bed, achy and not feeling good at all. I'm up today and still having a hard time, the nausea has started. I was supposed to be on Zophran, but my insurance wouldn't fill it without pre-authorization from my doc, so I will have to give him a call in the morning and let him call them. I don't understand insurance sometimes, it seems like they have to much control over a persons well being. The doc called in the prescription, and why would he do that if I didn't need it. Oh well, just venting. Just wanted to let everyone know how it went. Sharon
Guest guest
Zophran is extremely expensive and most insurances will only cover 15-20 pills a month unless your doctor appeals . There is now also a generic form of zophran which works just as good .. Shot #1 Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know that I did my first short, on the second round of treatment, Friday night. Guest guest
This was the generic form, he prescribed 60 pills and they were $1497.99. Thanks for the info, maybe I can get him to change it to 15-20 pills. Thanks Sharonelizabethnv1 wrote: Zophran is extremely expensive and most insurances will only cover 15-20 pills a month unless your doctor appeals .
