I know I said I wouldn't say anymore about it.........but thought you all might need to know something, perhaps it will help you know me better, maybe it will gross you out/piss you off more, who knows?

I AM the product of an abortion..........albeit a failed one and I thank the good Lord for his divine intervention that day. Back in 1968, teenage pregnancy was unheard of. My mother was a teenager, pregnant and now engaged to be married to a man they all hated. My grandparents resolution? Kidnap my mother in the middle of the night (she would NEVER go voluntarily) and take her to a back alley place for an illegal abortion. Well, things didn't go so well...........it was a botched, failed abortion that left my mother AND me near death - thankfully, the only effect was me being born with a broken hip, which was repaired after several months in a brace but I do have many residual effects today. This abortionist didn't want to perform this abortion, my mother was visually disturbed by the events AND upon examination, she found my mother had a " tipped " uterus, making the procedure extremely risky. With my grandparents own greed, they told the woman they were prepared to take the chance. God Forbid their daughter should have a child out of wedlock. By the grace of God, we survived and my grandmother went to her deathbed trying to make amends for that terrible decision she made that night.

So, I believe that abortions are TERRIBLE, but I don't want to see any young woman go through what my mother or I went through........and making abortions illegal, doesn't mean they'll go away. Just like not providing sex education doesn't mean that teenagers won't have sex.........
