So are you saying that if i am taking the CLA in the recommended dose

i should not used the peanut butter because i have learned to like it

especially in the morning after i eat my egg whites i know it sounds gross

but you learn to make weird combos on this program. So is it bad if i still

have it and the olive oil on my salad because those are the only real fats

that i use. As far as nuts tell me about it i kill for those Raw cashews in

the cottage cheese and with equal the problem is i think that i am eating

something healthy but am i really That is the major concern i have. Because

if not i rather give up the nuts and stick with the peanut butter and olive

oil which are the ones i really learn to love and i would give up the CLA i

rather eat the wholesome real stuff on my food. Like the shakes i only use

them after my weight training days and only because i do not have time for

food that early in the morning. Thanks though Jen. B

My opinion (and others may disagree with me on this point) is that

you should pick one or the other - CLA or the peanut butter/olive

oil. Honestly, I don't add fats to my diet unless I have an

EXTREMELY lowfat day nutrition-wise (chicken breast, tuna, protein

shakes only). I just know from tracking my calories, protein, carbs,

and fats on Diet Power (a software program, not for newbies) that

simply eating regular food, you will get ~10-20% of your total

calories from fat, and that's without counting any add-on fats like

peanut butter and olive oil. Once you start adding that stuff in,

the calories add up quickly. When Bill talks about adding

some good fats to your diet, he is talking about a drizzle - maybe 1-

2 TEAspoons (not TABLEspoons) of olive oil on a salad, OR a

tablespoon of peanut butter per day.

Here's some perspective... an average woman (~140 lbs) will need 25-

40g of fat per day on BFL. That's total, which means from all the

foods you eat all day. That's 4-7g fat per meal. A tablespoon of

oil has 12g of fat. A tablespoon of peanut butter has 8g of fat.

See how quickly it can add up?
