, the photos you sent and the description of your EN along with

the fact that you have Crohn's makes me wonder if you may have

pyoderma gangrnosum. EN generally doesn't ulcerate, while PG does. We

have a terrific PG and Crohn's resource person named Jeff in our

Group. I'm sure he will be interested in helping you as he is very

generous with his time. We are so lucky to have him as a fellow

5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if

you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish

to join this group. started as a tender small lumb on

left shin, in a few days it becme very red, swollen,

painful, area about the size of my palm, over the

weekend it developed a purplish center. could not

stand for even the sheets to touch my leg. 2 weeks

later that purple center looked like a scab....it had

some clear drainage but no bleeding ever. it fell off

after a shower on day and left a whole in my leg about

the size of a pencil eraser and as deep as one. i

still have a hole but it is getting smaller and so is

the outer red swollen tender area

EN, and their effectiveness: motrin 800mg 3 times a

day, steriod ointment around the purple area and

triple antibiotic in the hole now

8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? 3rd

week of july 2005

5 weeks now

etc.) saw it on a yahoo search

sending 2 pictures.....1st one was right as the purple

center was starting, the second is when the scab like

thig fell out....notice the peeling skin....this is

how far out the redness and swelling spread before i

got to the doc and got meds.
