Guest guest
Yes, steroid in my case means corticosteroid (Asmanex). I haven't taken it because I think I have fairly mild asthma and it doesn't bother me every day so I hate to become dependent on an inhaled medication. But my peak flow has dropped to only 250, so I probably should. I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it when I'm really feeling pretty much OK, no problem during exercise. But occasionally I feel a little breathless. A few years ago I took Advair but stopped it when I started Xolair shots for asthma. I actually felt better without the Advair and didn't like the ads saying it should be a last choice medication. I am also taking Clarinex and occasionally Nasonex for allergies. I hope " steriod " means " corti-steroid " because anyone that is New would think just steroid, the ones that athletes can get into trouble with. I got scared the first time they told me and gave me a " steroid " to use for my asthma and no, I didn't take it either.
