Thanks for reminding me of when I was told I had HCV. I did not, at the time, know anyone (so I thought), that had it. I was panicked about everything, family, job, future, Tx or not, I became consumed. I didn't realize I had had it for >30 yrs. I didn't trust the Docs', the labs, or the support people were trying to give me. All that mattered was I was HCV. This group and some friends and family helped me to get things in better perspective. Now I'm just at my base line of insanity. I have some regrets that "I shound have done things differently" since I was diagnosed, mostly because was in such a panic to fix the problem which wasn't my job anyway. I'm trying to see things today as important but not the big deals my imagination would have me believe. After two difficult courses of Interferon Tx I am clear of the virus seven months post Tx. I hope and pray you receive what you need in the coming months to find support and peace in your process. Again thanks for the wake up post.
