Guest guest
Dear Diane,On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added the information to our "Member Medical History" Files on the Group site and posted it below. You now have Full EN Group privileges. You are receiving ALL EN Group emails, and you can also go to the Erythema Nodosum Group Site :whenever you like and logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password. You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here. You have what is called recurrent EN. I have it too. I've had EN for 37 yrs., but with remissions, and my EN episodes are mild, never lasting more than 2 weeks. I think perhaps you have an underlying trigger or illness that has not yet been identified or you are never getting into a true remission. Sometimes it is nearly impossible to afford ourselves the luxury of all the rest it takes to recover from EN, and that, in my own experience makes it just that much easier to fall back into a flare up. What has your rheumatologist suggested? I agree that a rheumatologist is the type of dr. you should consult with.Welcome to our Friendly Group!Love,Diane Badeaux Case History4/22/061. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group. Four year ago I was diagnosed with EN by biopsy . Was told is was no big deal it would go away on it's own and was given Naproxen. Well, 4 years later still here and the episodes of outbreaks get worse evey time. Just coming out of one that lasted 5 weeks at times I could hardly walk it affected the stength in my leg muscles ,finally 2 spots came out on foot. After much persistence this last time my dr referred me to orthopedic dr and I knew that was not where I needed to be, but I went in search for help from anyone. Finally, he knew about EN, sympathized with the condition, and set me up with rheumatologist so maybe some relief is on the way. 6. List any other health conditions. Hypothyroid, Migraines7.
