Guest guest
Three epidurals and twenty-two trigger point injections later over a 13 year period I know how you feel. I have been on every pain med there is and now none of them are very effective. Presently I mainly take Hydrocodone 20/Acetaminophen 500. It does take the edge off but that is about it. I have been on oxy and methadone and all the rest but they work poorly since I have been on pain meds so long. All the synthetic morphines I have taken worked for a while then I have to change due to my high tolerance of them. I had either one or the other side effects from them. Insomnia but less pain or I slept then hung over and zombied the next day. Again the Catch 22 Syndrome. What works best when the pain is just unbearable is illegal but my doctors approve as long as it is done only when the pain is unbearable. I just roll my own pain relief. About half of a roll your own is all I need and I get relief from pain and a good sleep. No insomnia or hung over and droggy. I only do this as a last resort but it does work. I do what I gotta do to get relief.

That is what I'm thinking about right now because I'm on the high end of my pain meds and the pump is the next logical step. You use a minute amount of meds in the pump that tolerance is not a problem. Just a thought. Ann
Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, In Texas we voted not long ago to leagalize it for medical use. Of course it will take years to finalize. Beauracacy, I mean government, in action. Pardon the spelling. The biggest lobbyist on the state and national level against it being legal are the pharmacutical companies. If made legal they would loose billions and billions of dollars in sales for medicines that don't work and are more habit forming. These lobbyist give million upon millions of dollars to crooked politians to do their battle for them. Every doctor that I have talked and dealt with over these past 13 years agree that it should be legal for medical use. I have talked with DEA agents, local sheriff and policemen and they even agree. Until it is I will still use it for medical reasons the law be danged. FREE HUEY!! Kathleen wrote: > > I have a number of friends who are treated for chronic pain in the same way. They use less medication and without the groggy feeling the next day. As far as I'm concerned if this works for you and your doctors are aware of it, good! I wish it didn't have the stigma attached to it, because I think it would help a lot of people. > > Kathleen in Calif.
Guest guest
Hi , Nope no p-n-cup for me. LOL I go to the VA for medical treatment. I do get regular blod work and every three months do the cup thing. Of course you have to realize that the VA does have it's short comings as far as medical treatment goes. They are not the best but better than no treatment at all. The VA I go to is pretty good and trying to improve. I will let them do everything except cut on me. I won't let anyone cut on me anymore. Looking forward to the leagalization of it so others can benifit from it. Legal or no I am gonna keep using it for med reasons. My doc says that he needs 4 tests or more depending on what shows up in it, they are doing it to see if patients are taking there medications right and the levels are where they should be for the dosage you are on. From my understanding the FDA brought this into being to see if people are abusing mainly Oxycontin, Morphine, pretty much all schedule 1 narcotics. Let me know Thanks

I just checked the FDA web site http://www.fda.com/ and I can't find anything there about urine testing. If my doctor ask for urine test, I'd find another doctor. I figure if he can't trust me then I can't trust him' JMHO Ann
