Guest guest
Today is just the perfect day to make a nice stew and some home made bread to go with it. I'll be using some nice grass fed beef with some organic carrots, potatoes (those are not organic as the organic are too out of budget) organic tomatoes and who knows what else I'll toss in! LOL. Bread will be WW and I just may make a loaf into onion bread to go with the stew, just sounds good. So what is every one else having for supper?? I am looking for suggestions for a picnic supper for this week when we go to the Farm concert. Any suggestions? Just don't want to do the sandwich thing, want a nice pack and carry supper. I know I am making bread pudding if DD is not going to bring any home from Carver's. I'll have to make a spiced rum sauce for it as I have no bourbon though! Guest guest
Kimi, This weather has me thinking of cooking fall foods also! I made a batch of chili the other day to send in my youngest daughter's lunch. Yes, she is back in school already... Today for lunch, we are having grass-fed beef liver from Sweetland Farm with onions and cauliflower with cream from MVV. Tonight, we will probably have chicken fajitas with peppers and cilantro from the garden. I also have beef stew on the list of things to make soon. I agree that organic potatoes are expensive this year. Now I wish I had planted some! Kathy
