YES!!!! My son had a HUGE bacterial flare-up on Valtrex. Berberine Complex, 2 caps per day, worked for him.

Hi,

Have you all experienced Valtrex bringing out some bacteria you may have thought was gone? I am seeing signs in my child when she had high bad bacteria - pale face, dark circles under eyes. I started her on OLE and am having the hardest time figuring out the dosage. She LOVES the taste of the tincture (tastes like alcohol) and I am going to do 20 drops 3x day. I am thinking it is strep b/c she has the red ring around the anus too. I do not think and hope it is yeast since she never had a yeast problem per her stool test. My DAN does not have any experience with OLE. What about GSE. I have the drops of that too. Anything that you tried that helped. Any other natural anti-bacterials?

TIA!

Artemesia (or Artemisia) Annua is a good antibacterial herb. also oil of

oregano, if he can stand the taste or swallow caps.

Monolaurin is worth trying.

Red ring around anus can be irritation related to diet and passing too

large stools per FIBER MENACE site...dark circles can be signs of

malabsorption and vitamin deficiencies....

Is this common for Valtrex to kick up bacteria because we are having

issues right now as well, wondering if this is it?

Yes, yeast and/or bacteria flareups are very common. Most kids should be on an antifungal and antibacterial before and during Valtrex.

I've heard the lauricidin is a great product, but for us it caused yeast. We

went back to the Monolaurin capsule and had no problems, just nice gains.

We had bacteria issues while on valtrex too. Goldenseal or Berberine complex

worked great.
