Guest guest
ginger, our doctor told us the same thing about exposing Simon to things to strengthen the part of his immune system that is functioning, although he said to wait until he was 2 to put him into any kind of day care. He is 4 now and goes to preshcool and is doing great, although simon is not nearly as seriously ill as some of the other children it is my opinion that one of the reasons he is doing so well is that we are conscience not to make him feel that he is sick. Just my opinion, every one has to do whats best for there child. Janet simons mom age 4 agammaglobulin anemia

Guest guest
HELLO all, I am Donna and my son Jack is 6 and just diagnosed Aspergers we always knew something complex was going on with him but couldn't pinpoint it, 1. his younger brother 5 was born with complex congenital heart disease, having only half a heart to work with has had 8 open heart ops reconstructing things and we thought Jack had a post traumatic stress problem attributed to Lachlan's terminal condition. 2. I had post natal never bonded etc. couldn't breastfeed, premmie 6 weeks, very very poor eater 3. dad works off shore absent father doing his best to keep us going 4. aunty died he was very close too, after a long battle with breast cancer and he was pushed from pillar to post when emergencies occurred our hospitalisations with Lachlan left him with mum who was nursing my sister. 5. he has had 2 eye surgeries strabismus repairs 6. head injury shattering teeth and general anaesthetic for removal of fragments at 3yo (fell on road out of stroller during a fire works display) 7. 2 grommets ops 1 tonsillectomy/adnoidectomy 8. diagnosed adhd/ocd at 4yo and put on tryptanol, then dexamphetamine, and now ritalin 9. suffers childhood migrains and is on periactin daily we love him dearly he is so complex so unique and we get a lot of good times out of him no matter how he is, last week we had a freak accident in the car, hit a power pole, rolled and rolled and landed in a ditch walked away without a scratch, (good car, toyota hilux) and the rescuers took photos for training, seeing as we were uninjured and after ambulance checking us out a friend of a friend was driving us home from the wreck and Jack wanted to go through the drivethru at Mcs because he was collecting the Olympic pencils they have at the moment?????? and thought it was a good opportunity to get one, mum was having a weak moment I suppose, I said " Jack we just had an accident etc........ and he was so put out that I didn't understand what he was saying sheeeeesh!!!! well that's all for now Donna (oz)
Guest guest
Hi, . Thanks for responding. My 15 year old is having a hard time as a freshman in high school this year.He is not turning in his English assignments and is acting up behaviorally. I got a letter on Wednesday from his English teacher saying that he is falling. I told the ED teacher that he doesn't understand abstract ideas and that the assignments have to be modified. She has agreed to let him use an alphasmart.(you can not read his printing it is very sloppy.) I had to spend 3hrs. on Friday and 2 hrs on Saturday. Do you have any other suggestions that have worked with your son? Tell me more about your son! Thanks, Emma
