If your child has a few of the symptoms of PANDAS I would recommend the ASO, Dnase, and a PANDAS profile from NeuroScience labs

No, you can have strep and not have PANDAS. PANDAS is the overproduction of antibodies to strep. First thing to check is ASO titers and Dnase.

Hi,Just wondering, does a positive throat culture for strep mean the child has PANDAS? Sorry for the dumb question, but my six year old had a positive strep culture about six months ago (hasn't been retested) and his DAN said he's a carrier but doesn't have full blown strep. ANY OPINIONS? Thanks for any info. Is there a test for PANDAS?
