Guest guest
Maxine, I have never been on nortriptyline, but the more I hear about it the more it makes me want to talk to my Dr. again. Thank you. Maxine Beckner wrote:I'm on nortriptyline and it seems to be helping my sciatica as long as I keep walking.
Guest guest
That is exactly why I got my dog Maggie, a golden; who loves to walk...miles if I let her. But that was the whole idea of getting her. Whe keeps me going, even when I really don't want to. I am 60 and sometimes need a firecracker under my butt to get me moving. Bad back and hips play big games with my health. piece59 wrote:Hi, Maxine, I've tried nortriptyline, too. Thanks for your reply! I do keep walking. My little dog sees to that. Can't disappoint her. Guest guest
I know what you mean sherrie and I take neurontin I take 3200mg a day, I have nerve damage from rupturing discs, herniating discs, and a quack that did surgery on me 3 times in one year and I could hardly walk when he got done. If the tens unit helps why don't you ask them to put in a dorsal column stimulator which is an internal tens unit that you turn on and off you can increase or descrease the rate and the pattern they implant a small unit in your hip and place the electrodes on the site that you are having the nerve pain and it does work. I had one but I had mine removed because I could not use it any anymore as it only made my pain worse. Try this new drug and see if it works I have never heard of it so it must be new. E-mail me personally if you feel like talking. Hope your feeling better. Hugs Sherrie wrote:<snipped> I also have been on neurontin for about 6 months. I was extremely dizzy and groggy constantly. So, I switched to Topamax. Well, that was a total disaster from day 1 with side effects. Now, my dr. wants to try Lamictal. This seems like a rather redundant step to take. What do you think/suggest??
