Hi , My nada did that to me for the first 18 years of my life -- and, she didn't just give body blows, she enjoyed slapping my face. I think she learned to do that from her parents. And maybe my nada's blows to my face is why I'm scheduled for surgery later this year at UCLA Medical Center to remove a tumor on my parotid (salivary) gland. Its the size of a golf ball and just maybe it grew there because of my nada's violence. My nada was a BPD/NPD combo. She used to whack me, repeatedly and hard across the knuckles of my extended hands, with an 18-inch ruler when she " needed to punish me " . My claim to fame: As hard as she tried, she could NEVER get me to cry. It was much worse at home. The more the behavior kept up the harder those pats would have become, up to a point. Having 16 cats, I know that for a fact.
