It would depend on if each year he gets a

W-2 or a 1099. On the W-2 it will clearly show if he paid into SS.

Does any one out there know if a person is a personal

caregiver and

gets paid for doing that by the state, if they pay into social

security and medicare like a regular job?

I have a pre dx patient that has been referred to us, no insurance,

does not qualify for medicaid, and I really am not sure if he

qualifies for medicare. He does not have a work hx beside being a

personal caregiver.
