From: FFTaz71aol (DOT) com <FFTaz71aol (DOT) com>Subject: Spacers & HFA inhalers...To: asthmayahoogroups (DOT) comDate: Wednesday, September 30, 2009, 7:29 AM Hey yall...good mornin! Its my first day back to class and its 52 degrees out here in Ga at 730AM!! Anyway, Ive been thinking (scary) about this and meaning to pose it to the group but when I get to the keyboard I get thoughttokeyboardit is, meaning that thought goes nowhere..haha. We have all been discussing how much more ineffective the new HFA inhalers seem to be..and I got to thinking about how they clog easier and need more frequent cleaning. Then I got to thinking about how we have been told to use a spacer..and I wonder how many peoplke have also thouhgt to clean the spacer more often? We changed our medicine, but the spacer still remains the same... Something else that I read in the Flovent package states something to the tune of the amount of medication delivered can change depending on how you breathe...which does actually make some sense in an odd sort of way, but I dont recall ever having seen that on an albuterol inhaler. Just some things to ponder and think about...but Im interested in hearing your thoughts too.. Ann
