Guest guest
Gail, got stitches about 2 years ago in his forehead, and we had a heck of a time calming him down to have them removed. First thing I did was call the Dr.'s office and explained 's anxiety. I wanted to make sure that we wouldn't have to sit in the waiting room for long. And, they took us right in when we arrived, as well as notified the Dr. of 's anxiety. Second, the doctor took the " Kit " out and explained every tool to and even let him hand him the tools as they talked about what was going on. He explained that the stitches coming out were a lot easier than going in, and he might feel a tickle or a tickling sensation. He even let keep the tweezers and the rubber gloves when he was done. I'm not saying was calm about it at all. He was so nervous, he actually had sweat beading on his forehead. But being straight foreward and honest with him was the best way for us to handle it. Hope it helps!! Sue G - Mom to M & M
