Hi Kim!

My nada used to be like that too, nobody knew how she really treated

her closest family, but this year it went wrong! she does not have

any siblings, but a large bunch of cousins and aunts, who did know

that she was a difficult person, but how difficult, that was news to

them.

If I have undestood this disorder right, it is possible that they

develop psychotic features too and that is propably what happened

with her at last. She did not seem to have any control over her

behavior anymore, manipulation was not as clever anymore and when it

became clear that she was about to cut off any connections to us, she

tried to turn to her cousins and aunts to convince them how terrible

we are and the result was that one of her cousins called me and asked

if she uses drugs. He is a paramedic, so the question was even more

disturbing, I explained to him what had been going on and he tried to

help us with every treath she made against us after that. Either she

was psychotic or had developed bipolar symtoms too, I don't know, but

it was scary!

I have lost all my ability to trust her, so it is not a choice for me

to be in contact with her anymore at least I feel that way about

everything right now. My middle brother had thought about contacting

her at one point, but did not do it, because of what the relatives

told was going on with her at the summer. She does not have a clue

why we are like this and is not ready to face us, 'cause nothing has

sunken in!

I've been lucky with my inlaws, she has been cruel to my MIL too and

FIL is too hard to handle for her too, he takes no crap from anyone.

My middle brother has difficulties getting his inlaws to understand

why we are not in contact with nada anymore.

thank you for sharing, I feel lucky to be able to talk about this

stuff to you all! hopefully some day I will be able to help someone

else too!

hugs BM
