Guest guest
I will second 's post with a hearty 'heck yea.' I took in those sweet pints of broth and they look good. Nothing could be more pure, actually. AND user-sized pork lard! OMG. Perfect. and HIS FAMILY have devoted themselves to this, folks. The stuff you get is the stuff they use themselves. I asked point-blank about the broth, and he is a big guy, but his smile was as big as his endorsement of this broth. We REALLY like having real producers like as it really gives us the true connection to real farmers that we started doing this for in the first place.... Come check it out. I may just pop a pint into a slow cooker tomorrow just to get the scent in the place, and to let you sip a sample... yum. Cheers, Alan > We now have for your consumption pints jars of canned 48-hour Pastured > Chicken Broth, as well as pints of rendered Pastured Pork Lard. They looked very well made and what a good idea to make them without seasoning so that people can adjust the spices to their own needs. There were some open samples of other stuff on a table and let me tell you, Castle Rock's churned butter and the raw honey (not Ames, I forget whose it was) spread on fresh bread was just heavenly. I could eat it all day and not get tired of it. ) ~Joe
Guest guest
Alvin -- I agree with Joe's suggestion - a big sign with the PRICE on it would be good. When I went to warehouse on Thursday, the price I was quoted for your eggs was $4/dozen. I bought a dozen (for $4!), 'cause I needed the eggs, but I would have bought 2 dozen if I'd been told that they were $3.29. -- Aileen I'm somewhat confused at the slow > pace of this new market for our eggs. They're right inside the > entrance so don't trip over them. Alvin, I might suggest that a sign with your farm name be placed on the window of the cooler, or else on top of it. I think it's easy to miss because when people walk in, it doesn't jump out at you the way the taller ones do. A big sign should do the trick. Plus while I was doing checkout Saturday I did not know the price offhand and had to check for someone, who ended up buying 2 dozen. Just something to think about. ~Joe
