Guest guest
You are absolutely correct - if you are seeing progress, there is no need to change. We change exercises only because: a) If we're training for a specific goal, sometimes exercise selection must change to reach that goal. For example, to increase vertical jump, you might train squats to gain quadriceps mass then switch to box jumps or some other explosive movement to train the acceleration If we reach a plateau, it means the body has become so efficient at performing a particular exercise that it is no longer stimulated to grow as the result. This is a good time to change exercises, so the new joint angle/lever-action stimulates additional adaptation. If you are progressing, you do not need to change your exercises. I don't know where the magic " 4 weeks " recommendation came from, except that it makes for 3 little phases during 12 weeks. You can use the same exercises throughout your challenge if you are progressing.
