I am all for vaccinating our children. I totally agree with you. The scary

thing is , is that the more children who arnt vaccinated means a higher

chance of an outbreak.

You cannot worry about things you have no control of. It's just wasted

energy. You could say the same thing about driving down the road, crossing

the street, etc. But this is just life. You just have to do the best in

the areas you have control of and leave the rest up to fate.

I personally somewhat agree with not vaccinating...let me explain, I DO

think it's necessary to get the vaccinations, but I just do not agree with

the schedule. I think a 2 day old baby's immune system is not yet strong

enough to handle the stress of a foriegn invasion into the body. Where is

your 2 day old baby going to pick up hepetitis anyways? Can't it wait until

the baby's a bit older, stronger? Most people don't take their babies out

for the 1st 6 to 8 weeks. Then after that it's still very limited exposure.

I just think if I were to ever have another baby, I would wait to vaccinate.

But this is just my opinion, and I give it so that you can maybe see the

flip side of the argument. I hope it doesn't make you more angry...??...if

so I'm sorry

and Sue: I thought we had it bad being allergic to Pennicillin and

Augmetin and the chickenpox vaccine. Can take Biaxin? or Vankdamycin?

What do you take for higher coverage?

I do not know how I feel after Alissa was on life support after three weeks

as a reaction to Varivax,

Take care all of you,

I hope the meeting with your husbands command went all right.

Ursula,

It might be interesting to see what types of meds the kids are all allergic

too. I know we have a long list and maybe we can see a pattern here as well.

Tracey,

I agree with you about not giving children shots if they are not

healthy. did not receive all her shots right away because of her

being ill and because of the neutropenia. Yes, some kids do have a bad

reaction to some. I don't think parents should risk it.

It just made me mad that many of them felt that these diseases are out

there anymore so why risk it on the account of they MAY have a reaction

to it.

is allergic to Lorabid, Cefzil, Zithromax and Bactrim But when she

is sick she still gets an antibiotic. We take the risks crossing a

street.

I wrote a long couple of messages on immunizations in people with immune

deficiencies. There are also a number of replies to it, equally valid. I

can't remember exactly when they were posted, but I know the subjects were

clearly marked " immunizations " if you want to search the archives. I

think you will find that we think similarly...

Take care,

Annette,

has not been given bioxin. I wonder if it in one of the groups

she is allergic to. If needs a strong antibiotic, she gets IV

ones. She had an ear infection that wouldn't go away during the winter

and even the shots of rocefin didn't work had to use a stronger one,

forgot the name.
