Guest guest
Hi ,I am looking for any thoughts and tips that mightmake me snap out of this?EN is not like having the 24 hr. flu or a simple headache. It is my thinking that EN is the end result or manifestation of your body trying to deal with the trigger whatever it may be [bacterial, viral, paracitic, hormonal, reaction to meds. etc]Hypersensitivity reactions can take weeks to show up, and recovery, in my own experience, takes time. For some members it takes weeks and for others longer to achieve a full remission [where you are completely well without any signs of EN].In my experience it takes reaching a full remission to keep from getting a relapse. For myself, having EN is my body telling me to "Get Rest!" so it can handle the assault, [and I still don't know what is causing it, as I am idiopathic].That said I can usually turn the tide from flare to remission with a couple days of solid rest and leg elevationPrednisone may resolve EN quickly, but it is not a cure and often members have reported that the EN returns when it is tapered or stopped.Everyone reacts differently, so I'm not generalizing, and I've never tried it.I wish there were a way to help us all "snap out of EN", but I don't know of any.Eliminating the trigger is the best treatment, of course.
