Guest guest
Hey there girl! I was doing some research on the hernia repair mesh used and came across an article that mentioned a 2-ply mesh used and there is mention of problems that can occur if the visceral lining was not large enough to close over the repair and the omentum was used to cover the area. There can be a great deal of painful adhesions of either the intestine, omentum or other things all binding together or to the mesh layer. Would a CT show these adhesions? I did read about how pain can occur if the mesh had come seperated and perhaps needed to be tied down again in spots, but I know that could be seen in a CT. I am not really familiar with adhesions, but it sure sounded like a good explanation. I will try to find the article and forward it to you. Hang in there and remember no pain that is intense can be considered a " normal " experience. Your body is telling you that something is not right, especially when your thinking about medicating and your not one to do that. Guest guest
Hi Ellen, Thanks for sending me this info. I find myself hoping for the tummy tuck approval more so that Dr K can get inside me and see if anything is wrong -than for the tummy tuck itself. I am just sure it is a mesh thing. Sometimes it almost feels like it itches - like if I could just stick my hand in there and scratch it would maybe feel better. Thanks again! and yippeeee!!!! for your upcoming surgery. Wish I had your insurance! hugs, cindy lee > Hey there girl! > I was doing some research on the hernia repair mesh used and came > across an article that mentioned a 2-ply mesh used and there is > mention of problems that can occur if the visceral lining was not > large enough to close over the repair and the omentum was used to > cover the area.
