Guest guest
I had terrible chronic (3 months straight) vertigo 7 years ago. My dr rxed an antidepressant (elavil) and it got rid of the vertigo. It clearly had some sort of brain anti-inflammatory property. Caryn Reid

Guest guest
Anyone doing Dr. G's protocol will be put on an ssri. He does not use them for increased seratonin. He uses it for increased blood flow to the brain and immune modulation. It's low dose. According to him, it's about 1/2 the typical dose they would use for the age. SSRI's work by decreasing the uptake of serotonin by synapses and making more serotonin available to the body. There is nothing in the literature nor does it make any appreciable sense to believe that giving 1/2 dose would be a go around for not increasing serotonin. He uses it for increased blood flow tothe brain and immune modulation. It's low dose. According to him,it's about 1/2 the typical dose they would use for the age.Cheryl> > > > > > So, though K is no fan of G's diet advice he sent me a link on > IBS > > which explains why G has the success rate he does, In K's > opinion, in > > kids with gut issues...the ssris which are not a part of > anyoone > > else's strategies> > > > ====>Oh, yeah, they have been giving SSRI's to ASD kids for > years, psychiatrists, that is.
