I found a cream/lotion while I was in the clinical trial at NIH which helps with the itching and does not contain cortisone since I wasn't allowed to use anything that contained steroids. The name of the cream is SARNA and I got it at CVS. It's soothing when you put it on and it does relieve the itching. OHMYGOD.. before I bought it, I was bruising myself from itching.
