Maybe try No-Fenol Enzyme from Houstons or Kirkman's has an enzyme for phenols as well. Could be withdrawal too I suppose or seasonal allergies. I'm happy for you that you are seeing positives so quickly from removing casein! Most children have adverse reaction on diet for some weeks. Dark under eyes can be other intolerance as you´ve mentioned, but also other things. Pathogens release toxins when die, now you are not feeding them as they were used to. You can consider a try on Specific carbs diet later, when your son is stable and you know accurately the efect of gfcf diet. btw what´s O.J.? For example, after watching an episode of my favorite show, I learned that iron deficiency can show as paleness when you pull the lower eye lid down. This area should be rosy. Iron deficiency can cause heart palpitations and lethargy. Two seconds after seeing this, I was checking my husband, and sure enough his eyes were pale as milk. He went on iron, and in about 3 days he felt better and his energy had increased. Does anyone on here have other things like this to share? A friend of mine, Dominie Bush runs a Fibro help website and she has had great success in healing her mold (lung) problems using the Cholestyramine, even at 1-2 scoops a day rather than the 4 x day suggested. I love the Emer-gen-C packets. My local Walmart sells them (best price) or you can buy them online at iherb.com or get them at Whole Foods or Sprouts. The good thing about them is that they also have the B vitamins and some magnesium that we all need to support our adrenals as well. Certainly, a high quality multi is a good basis for all of us IMHO. I like the Trader Joe's brand and stock up on that when I travel either West or East. Guest guest Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 The warning about thyroid meds is because CSM will also bind with some of your thyroid hormone IF you don't take it sublingually (that's what I do, so I don't have a problem). However, CSM also binds fat soluble vitamins for obvious reasons - CSM works by removing cholesterol since toxins are circulated in your body via fat. So, I did find that I needed to take extra A, D and E while on CSM, but I got all that from cod liver oil and carrot juicing. CSM is most effectively taken 30 minutes before a meal as the bile secretion triggered during a meal optimizes the toxin removal. If you take it after a meal, you should do so at least one hour after and/or follow the basic rules for anything that would bind and make either a medication or supplement/food not effective (e.g., I would allow at least 2 hours between abx and CSM just like one would do if one were taking iron, calcium, etc. (since these also bind with hormones, etc.). The biggest issue with CSM is that if you don't have very regular BMs (i.e., at least one/ideally 2+ per day), you can get really plugged up the first two weeks - that's usually the only reason folks can't tolerate it. You can fairly easily counteract this by taking extra vitamin C or magnesium. Because I and my kids were already doing that when we started CSM, none of us had that issue. And, absolutely, the max dosage of CSM and how long you have to take it for it to be effective is very, very individual. I am a worse case scenario - I've got the genotype that about 3% of the population has and we don't detox anything, which is why I must be on maintenance dosages. Here is what I do so far and please correct me if I am doing something incorrect: 7:00am Armour 8:00am Breakfast, DHEA, Protogolone (both compounded together), Seleium, Idoral & Sublingual B 1:00 pm Armour (sublingual) 5:30 pm Dinner, Calcium w/D & Magnesium 10:00 pm Progesteron & Iron (both slow release) Now where do I fit in Vitamin C and I am taking any of the vitamins incorrectly? Vitamin C helps with iron absorption so I'd add it in there. Calcium will help with sleep. Is your Vitamin D D3 (cholecalciferol)?
