Guest guest
Dear Group, It really is a " catch 22 " with exercise and EN. Everything I've read suggest that rest with leg elevation warrented when one is flared-up. Some sites suggest wearing support stockings if you have to be up and about. Yet with some forms of arthritis, and just plain healthy living you want and need to get exercise. Sometimes exercise can start me to flair-up. So it is hard to know what is best to do. I try to start exercising gradually once I go into a remission. It's my theory that stirring up those immune cell clusters by exercising just " wakes them up " . There are upper body exercises one can do with dumbbells and some machines at the gym. Very few websites discuss Chronic EN. They tend to talk about the so called typical one time only cases. Maybe it is because those with chronic EN stop going to drs. Some of us figure out what drugs work or we make lifestyle changes which may include job changes. We are in effect hiding in the shadows. All EN research is important, but specifically research geared to those of us who have suffered longest. Anyway, that is my opinion for what it's worth. Wishing Everyone a painfree evening!
