Guest guest
Guess what guys, I forgot to tell you all that now I'm diabetic. My doc told me this past week. He thinks it's from weight gain. With all the meds I take I have to eat larger quantities to avoid stomach upset and excruciating stomach pain. I started going to nutritionist a few weeks ago. She's great, but I haven't been able to stick to the regimen only because my largest lump has just subsided and although I still have a view, they're not very painful now, so I'm not on bedrest or pain meds. so, I'll be able to stick to the plan which is rather easy. Can you add additional diagnosis and new meds. Glucaphage 500mg 2x daily. Thanks for your support guys. Janice
Guest guest
Dear Janice, Thanks for the update. I added the info to your case history on the Group site. I know that often sticking to a diet plan and getting exercise can help reduce need for diabetic meds and sometimes reverse it altogether. If you buy a glucose meter you can monitor your glucose numbers between doctor visits. Also the HBA1c blood test (which is now available at drugstores} can give you the " bigger picture " as it is an average of the past few weeks to months. Good luck!
