Why should you be violating a contract when you avail yourself of all services legally available to anyone on the Internet? Carol

Guest guest
, What I think is: what happened was you slipped from a higher consciousness into a lower one. Everything looks different when we move from one level to another. Some of the things that will drop our LOC are: poor diet, isolation, negative thoughts, commiserating with others about their (or our) problems, being around other people in a low LOC, believing society's negative propaganda (TV & movies), irrational belief systems we are holding onto etc. What raises our LOC (level of consciousness) are: Music, nature, healthy foods, exercise, positive thoughts, humor, spiritual connection, human connection with people at a healthy LOC , and most importantly identifying and letting go of irrational beliefs. When we discover who we really are, concerns over whether we are depressed or happy no longer matters--because we are filled with joy. Guest guest
Good post, a. I'll have to try the dog shampoo you recommended. We also have had to bathe our Golden Retriever once a week now and we shaved her hair to about 1 1/2" long. Yeah, she doesn't look as pretty, but what a difference in shedding and allergens. I also improved when we took out carpet and replaced with wood floors. I'd love to get the MARMOLEUM kitchen floor, which is basically an organic vinyl flooring, unlike regular vinyl floor that outgasses. Hubby and I are wrangling on this as he wants tile. Guest guest
a, Thanks for the information. So you use Magick Shampoo on the dog? Where do you find that? Is it a pet shampoo? The dogs do not bother me but the cats do. I have heard that bathing cats on a regular basis is very helpful. I just need to research what shampoo to use on them. Guest guest
I realize what you are saying is true, but if you'd been driving what I have for the last 15 yrs or more, as a single woman supporting herself, with noone to help her, I think it would be different. The car I was driving was more than 22 yrs old, the one before that was the same model, and the one before that was even older, and the one before that, from my mean old ex, was picked up and repossessed on the parking lot of my work place, even though it was part of the child support agreement. Would I have accepted a 2005 model (the least that could be bought with a Tx Aircheck certificate)? That would have been part of someone else's outgassing stuff, so it may as well be me outgassing it, lol. I didn't inherit someone else's mechanical problems this time, and it will probably be the last car I ever buy, being as I'm almost 57 now. I ride with the car windows down a lot, even in this god awful weather, so I'm hoping that helps. I'm still very excited, as I've NEVER had a new car, so it is worth it to me. Of course, I'm going to pay pay pay, but I'm still ecstatic.

Guest guest
Hi! Yes I am certainly going to need some of that 308.0 billing for myself! The elderly parents are my patient. The two visits for the father and one for the mother were with their son and daughter in law present. Now the daughter calls saying there is a suit between her and her brother and therefore she is not getting information about her parents. She tells me no follow through has occured for physical therapy and meds are not being taken. So.......... I fudge a bit and decide to honor HIPPA law by deciding that she has to come in and bring her mother and father if she wants an update on what is happening, rather than meeting with her alone or doing this over the phone. Now both are very elderly and I diagnosed mom with dementia on her visit so I'm no sure how much longr mom can give informed consent! Yikes! Guest guest
yes be careful to have consent If there is a suit there is a lawyer s/ he may or may not be useful Sometimes lawyers help if they guide the family through guradian ship stuff..Family stuff is complex IF parents are competent ask them who you are allowed to talk to ( ask this when kids not present) if they seem not competent to you then OY someone needs to get guardian ship at probate court Kids may kill each other over this If parents your pateitns ARE competent and other family mmebers call of course you may listen You may not talk.(stuff mouth with chocolate and say thank you for calling) I know you know this Just re telling you becasue if you are like me mind goes blank when stress invades. Guest guest
Also, Mom needs to sign a release if you are to speak with the adult children if they are not in her prescence. Personally, I kick them out of the room if they are too obnoxious. I make sure there is a Health Care Proxy and that is the ONE person I discuss things with. The adult children need to understand their conflicts do not enter my exam room. Guest guest
Don’t forget the “loophole” in HIPAA that allows you to inform a family member. Our HIPAA notice specifically states that you can object to this notification, however, “if you are unable to agree or object to such a disclosure, we may disclose such information as necessary if we determine that it is in your best interest based on our professional judgment.” This sounds like a complicated case, however, if you feel it’s in the best interests of the parents (or at least the mother with dementia) to notify their daughter, you are within your legal right to do so. I would just CYA by documenting the chart backwards and forwards. Pratt Office Manager Oak Tree Internal Medicine P.C Roy Medical Associates, Inc.
