Hey All,

I hope everyone had a better weekend than I. It was a bummer to say

the least. Pain got so bad I had to drive 100 miles to the hospital

to get a shot to help ease it. Well it was a wasted trip. By the

time I got the shot and drove back home I was in the same shape as

before I left. Go figure. And with the price of gas and a F250

truck that can pass everything except a gas station it was a total

waste of time and effort. Ever have one of these days. LOL So i

came back and self medicated with Herbal. One day I will learn to

start with what I would do as a last resort. LOL

What really got my goat was the doctor on duty in the emergency ward.

He said I needed to be more optimistict instead of pessimistic.

Wanted to belt him a good one but I restrained myself and just told

him I was positive I hurt. LOL For a doctor he wasn't to bright.

Went right over his head. But he did give me a shot of morphine and

ferridene and sent me on my way after making me rest for two hours

before I drove.

I am a very positive person but at times I do get negative. So

What! I am human dealing with a situation most people could not

endure. I do look for the horse amist the crap but sometimes there

are big piles in the ole barnyard. Unless you been there you can't

understand. That is what is good about this group. To some degree

all of us have been there done that.

So thank you for hearing my ramblings and to all a gareat day.

My name is Sara and I just read your post. I am new to this group so would

like to introduce myself to all as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your weekend. That really sucks! Still, it is

important to stay positive and hopeful, and listen to your body about what's

best for it. Recently, I have stopped smoking, and I have to say, I do feel

at least a little better from that. So, if you smoke, I'd really recommend

quiting. It seemed to only magnify my pain. I suffer from terrible

headaches that are contant, and neck and back pain. I've seen many many

doctors, so I know how it feels not to be heard, and to hear " stay positive "

from a doctor who doesn't really seem to give a darn, or who understands

anything you're going through. It's hard to stay positive all the time when

you're in constant pain. We're only human beings afterall. Anyway, I

really hope you get some relief soon.

Stay strong and don't let the pain rule you!!! Keep fighting. There is

hope. There is an answer.

Healing hugs to all. I'm glad I joined this group!

Hi Sara,

I think it depends on what you are smoking on wheather it helps

the pain or not.

drove a long way to the ER, and got comments from his Dr,

that were insensitive. But at least he got a pain shot. I took it as

he smoked pot to help the pain. I know that high quality marijuana

helps me alot, very quickly. The relief slowly disappears, but it

does help.

Stay positive, you could have a problem like I had last summer.

I ate something that made me sick, and I couldn't hold down my

methadone. I am too good to pick methadone out of a pile of puke and

eat them again, so I went to the ER and told the nurse what

happened. I was running to the restroom puking green bile, and had a

severe case of the dry heaves. I had methadone pills, but knew it

would be a waste to take them, because I was in withdrawl, and would

puke them right back up. (sorry this is so gross) Anyway, when the

Dr. came in, he told me that he never perscribes methadone because

of what was happening to me. I told him if he would just give me a

pain shot, I would be fine. He told me that he couldn't do that. I

told him that the hospital up the road didn't have a problem giving

me a shot a few months back when I was in severe withdrawls, and the

Dr. asked me the name of the other Dr. that gave me a pain shot, and

I had to run to the bathroom to puke again and ran into a sherrif's

deputy, that was listening to out comversation. After I was done

puking, I went back to the room and the Dr. told me that he was

obligated to report the Dr. that gave me the shot. I had a sudden

lapse of memory, and couldn't come up with the name. I told the Dr.

I needed that shot so I could get back to my normal dosing scedule,

and he told me to have the pain specialist that perscribed me the

methadone to give me a needle of demerol to carry around with me for

the next time I got sick, that he was not going to give me any

narcotics. I wanted to hurt him, but I left quietly. I found some

phenegrin, that I had and stuck it where the sun don't shine, then

when I started to feel relief from the Withdrawls I took my dose of

methadone, and was fine. I not only had suicidal thoughts, but I had

stronger homicidal urges. The hospital sent me a $250 bill for

the " treatment " I recieved. I wrote them a letter explaining that I

refuse to pay for smart assed remarks when I was so deathly ill. I

now have a collection agency sending me threats.

I guess it could have been worse, I could have went back to the

hospital and done what I was dreaming of doing.

Hi Tammy,

Yes I am doing better now. When I got home I did my " herbal " thing

and slept. Woke up much better. It is a shame that in med school

they don't teach commpassion and bedside manners. Hope you are doing

well. I gotta close for now and see if I can get all my bones going

ing the same direction and get some work done.

Take Care,
