Wearing a wrist splint is uncomfortable, but you need to keep the area immobile,

so that it has time to heal. I took a soft (non ribbed) sock, cut the

foot out of it and put it over my wrist before I put the splint on. It made the

thing a bit more bearable.

Hi Lyndi and Ann,

Thanks for the replies to my post about the splints. They're awful but good.

The hint about the sock got me thinking and I modified the tip to

" wear tubular bandage underneath " .

And now no bruises or sore bits (I've got fragile skin) and I don't object too

much to wearing it. Although the wrist still hurts and . . . it's just not

glamourous! Mind though, if I get too grumpy about it I can stick my doctored

pink sheep sock on top of it all! ;~)
